A career related website

Imagen
Hello dear readers today I want to tell you about this very cool website that I don't use because it's ilegal, so don't use it. This site is called sci-hub and it hosts a very large amount of science related papers (and some books), which as some of you may know some publishers and sites will charge you money to acces them. I certainly never visit this website when a teacher asks us to read a scientific paper which is around once every two months. I don't like this website because it takes the money away from the poor publishers that take the biggest share of the profits made by selling knowledge. This nefarious site works by having a big search bar where you put the "doi" code of the science paper or book that an evildoer wants to pirate. Since every science text has a "doi" code that is displayed in the official site where it's hosted or web store where it's sold, anyone can copy it and paste it in the search bar to gain acces to it. A photograph I like

Hello readers, I'm back again from the clutches of the devil's hand (tests), so to take my mind of the posibility of having to repeat a year due to a failing a subject, I'm going to tell you about my favorite photo or rather something close to it, because I can't say with all my being that this is my favourite photo, but it's pretty significant to me so here it is.  This photo is from the last birthday my dog Toro affectionately known as "Grasudo" due to the numerous skin folds he had as a puppy that me and my brother confused as him having too much fat.  The reason of his death was a battle against a tumor he had in his head in the point sighlty to the right of the point between the mouth, the nose and the eyes, hence if you look closely you may notice a deformation in his face.  As I said before this photo was taken on Grasudo's birthday which corresponds to the 24th of March, that day my brother (censored in the photo as you can see) prepared a spec

My favorite piece of technology

Hello readers, I'm back to writte about my favorite piece of technology, my portable video game console, the 2DS. In case some of you don't know about it, the 2DS is a game console created by Nintendo (the owners of Pikachu) as a cheaper alternative to the 3DS which is the main console and as it's name implies it has a 3D function for some of its games.  Appart from the 3D function the 2DS also has a more brick like design and can't close itself so it doesn't fit in your pocket like the 3DS, but you can play the same games on both of them so for me they serve the same function. My love for this piece of technology comes from the memories I have with it, It all goes back to 8th grade where I made a promise to my father if I got good grades he would buy me something of my choice (under 100,000 pesos). So after I fulfilled my part of the deal I chose a 2DS as a prize. After that I played a lot of video games with it primarly Pokemon with my friends, but I also remember

Why did I choose my career

Imagen
Hello, I'm back to write about why I chose my career. When I was a little boy, maybe inspired by my biologist father, I had the dream of one day becoming a crazy/evil scientist. This kept being my dream up until 9th grade when I realised being evil is a bad thing, so I changed my focus on becoming a normal scientist, but I started to ponder in which science subject should I focus. I enjoyed equally every science subject in school so I ended up choosing the biology and chemistry option in 11th grade. After the first week I realized it was too boring so I changed to the math and physics option, and with this realization I decided to study physics (I never considered being a mathematician). After that I destroyed the PSU or whatever was the name of the test in 2020, and after that I got into the Bachelor's in science with a mention in physics at the University of Chile. I'm currently enjoying my experience studying at the university, my classmates are funny and we have a lot i

My autobiography

Hello my name's Tomás Jiménez, I was born the on April 14th, 2003, in a clinic whose name I don't know from the city Santiago in the country Chile. When I was 6, I moved to the district Peñaflor and entered the school "Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Talagante" where I did my elementary, middle and high school studies. Currently I'm studying to get my batchelor's degree in Physics in the university named "Universidad de Chile". My family consists of mom, dad and a big brother. All of them enjoy poking fun at each other and laughing at their mistakes, so it's pretty fun living with them. We also have 2 dogs named Zulu (male) and Maqui (female) they are the guardians of the house (although Maqui's a coward) and play by waking me up every morning by violently barking at every car that passes close to home.  My hobbies are playing video games, reading manga and watching anime, although currently I spent most of my free time playing gatcha games on my
